Trans and Non Binary (NB)

Transgender is a term that describes people whose gender identity and birth sex do not align. Gender identity is a person’s internal, personal sense of being a man or a woman, or somewhere in between. In Cambridge there is a strong community of people who are transgender, or non-binary (people whose gender identity isn’t exclusively male or female), with the variety of events catering specifically to the trans community increasing dramatically in the last few years.
