CUSU LGBT
CUSU LGBT+ is a Campaign with the aim of providing an extra level of support for all LGBT+ students at Cambridge. Their role is to look after the welfare of LGBT+ students in Cambridge, providing welfare support, organising socials and events as well as running campaigns for LGBT+ rights. At the moment, CUSU LGBT+ are running several major campaigns, including ?Why Gender-Neutral? (https://www.lgbt.cusu.cam.ac.uk/why-gender-neutral/), ?Make No Assumptions? (https://www.lgbt.cusu.cam.ac.uk/what-we-do/campaigns/make-no-assumptions/), and ?Plus Campaign? (https://www.lgbt.cusu.cam.ac.uk/what-we-do/campaigns/plus-campaign/). They also produce a publication “Get Real.”, which publishes online articles and a biannual printed zine. Get Real. exists to platform LGBT+ student voices and issues, especially those which are often spoken over, so if you would like to contribute you can email them at lgbt-editor@cusu.cam.ac.uk or message their Facebook page.
CUSU LGBT+ is run by a committee of about 15 people, and they hold regular Open Meetings. If you want to get involved, feel free to go along to any Open Meetings which anyone is welcome to attend and vote at. Elections are normally held in February, annually.
