Wine Society meets once or twice per term for an evening tasting. Tastings involve an introduction to the tasting process and some background info on the chosen wines / region / grapes. Beyond that they’re a tasty and informative way to get a bit merry. Absolutely no prior knowledge about wine is required or expected.
