JCR Committee: Female Welfare Representative

About the post

The role of the Women's Welfare officer is to provide advice, support, and information to the women of Corpus, as well as representing their views to the CUSU women's council. Both the Men's and Women's Welfare officers can supply condoms, pregnancy tests, and rape alarms. Application can be made by email, or through the forms in the welfare pigeonholes. This can be an anonymous process if you wish, and any orders can be left in the welfare pigeon hole to be picked up. A large part of the welfare role is in providing support to corpuscles: Everyone knows that Cambridge can be absolutely horrible at times, so if you're feeling the stress, I'm here to do what I can to alleviate that as much as possible, by providing a sympathetic ear, and a nice soft sofa to sit on. Please feel free to contact me (ln241; 07794322910; ROOM P3 OLD COURT). Come drink hot beverages (now providing hot chocolate for a limited period only, or while milk stocks last...), complain, confide, bitch, moan, or cradle Alan the Camel to your bosom... Welfare hours (when I will certainly be in my room) are MONDAYS 3-5pm, but feel free to call me or drop in any time on the off chance. Also try corpuswomenswelfare@hotmail.co.uk for an anonymous chat.

The current Female Welfare Representative, 2008–9
