JCR Committee: Ru He

2004–5: Secretary

Ru is the Secretary, having spent the previous year as the International Rep. This means she is to be found running around frantically on Sunday evenings screaming 'I need a 7-letter word that isn't ELFPORN!!' thanks to the weekly curse that is Corporeal. Otherwise, she's continuously struggling with the saga that is the JCR Exec meeting timeslot. She finds it ironic that the delectable Miss Irwin is a million times more organisey than she is, and therefore sometimes lets Rachel take the reins and do everything. Having an open portfolio means she can get involved in anything she wishes to, but does not mean she will necessarily do what other people tell her to. Potential interests include Freshers' Week, getting more storage to accomodate her 500 lbs of personal posessions and anything else you might happen to mention to her 'in passing'.

Ru has also managed to weather (unfounded) allegations involving webcams, pillows, and books (no thanks to a certain Mr. Baylis-West). Apart from that, she's slightly preoccupied with all things 'anti', examples of which include antichrists antisingaporean, and antimen. Favourite conversation topics include how to pronounce the word 'scone', and whether she qualifies for euthanasia (and laments that Alexis is often uncontactable should the answer ever go in her favour, although the idea of having another 3 hour long discussion about what to do to dispose of her body might be a bit too much).

She can be found in the JCR and the bar once in a blue moon, and then it's usually because she needs to raise money for RAG or because The Chin has dragged her into them, because she prefers sitting in her room writing scary plays. (And she does not have any Gollum-esque tendencies. Honest.)

A problem that has been plaguing her lately: She can't decide whether Orlando Bloom looks better with that scary blond wig or in 'real-life'. Her friends will know better where the answer lies. And no. She does not have a mad obsession for anybody whose hair is lighter-coloured than hers.
