JCR Committee: Francis Letschka
2006–7: Secretary
As secretary I try to enable the JCR committee to run as smoothly as possible. This involves drawing agendas, minuting meetings (and then posting these minutes in the JCR) and other exciting things. I also send out Corporeal (Corpus's weekly newsletter) in collaboration with the President and keep a check on constitutional matters. You should always find copies of the minutes of recent committee meetings in the JCR, but if you can't find them, or seek clarification, then do not hesitate to email me. Also, if you are interested in the process of making minutes, what fonts/styles I prefer, or how to turn documents into pdfs then you can also approach me. Try to talk in short sentences which have a clear and obvious point; this makes them easier to minute. As an Asnac, I have a strong sense of self-parody and some time on my hands, so if you require any information on the running of the JCR, constitutional matters, or policy decisions then get in touch. We run a culture of information, and I act as the facilitator. Also, as an elected officer I have a vote on the committee, and can raise issues (although this requires me to speak and write at the same time). Do approach me if there is anything you would like to see on the agenda of a JCR committee meeting, or if you have any issues that need airing.
