2004–5: Academic and Access Officer

I have 2 roles. That's how important I am. (Do I get 2 votes on the Committee too Rach?!) A) assist with your academic difficulties ( which none of us will experience because we are all so brainy - as if!) and give you a voice to communicate with the powers that be... B) Encourage applications from impoverished state schools that dwell in the depths of the nation and schools that have a weak record of Oxbridge admissions. On a practical level, visiting schools, participating in conferences, showing students around when over for interview etc etc. There is plenty of scope to get involved, especially during December when the interviews are going on...
