i.e. the one to summon / catch by the tea-towel / email if you have any ideas (no matter how small – or large) about how college facilities could be improved, or with complaints about unsatisfactory facilities. The stranger the better…

For new lightbulbs and things that need fixing, please fill in a maintenance request form and our lovely maintenance men will do the best to sort the problem (specificity helps); the link is in the top right corner of this page. If it’s in a communal area email me so they don’t get multiple forms.

For camp beds, please book it and return it when you’re done. If it’s not there, try to get it off whoever had it last (those who use the booking system tend also to be virtuous enough to return them promptly, but it’s worth a try). If this fails, steal one from another part of college, but please remember to put it back where it came from, even if it’s a longer walk – and email me to let me know which one is missing & which one you’ve borrowed!

I happen to be a first year English student. I’m fairly sure there’s no way to make this relevant to my role as amenities officer, other than noting that English and Elf alliterate, which no doubt indicates some deep connection. So feel free to include literary allusions in your emails?
