JCR Committee: Adam Baylis-West
2004–5: Amenities Officer
The Amenities Officer is vested with responsibility for the majority of services and utilities provided to the college's undergraduate body. This onerous labour includes sitting as the senior undergraduate member of the Kitchen and Buttery Sub-Committee, which regularly liases with the Catering and Conference Mangager, working alongside the ever helpful
Hall Representative
and
Bar Representative.
Equally significantly, the Amenities Officer is responsible for distributing camp beds and tending to those issues relating to Gyp rooms and Bedders. The role has in recent years expanded to involve matters regarding maintenance, the Computer Room and the Junior Combination Room itself. This year much attention shall need to be focused upon the impending
'Library Court' project.

Mr. A. L. S. Baylis-West esq. MEYP enjoys amoung other things, the study of classical literature and history, imperialism, fine ales, tweed and a hearty shag in a briar. His hobbies include punting on the Cam in a boater and flannels and spreading scurrilous rumours via the (ab)use of the Amenities Notice Board. He was once college Hall Representative and hoped to be voted "Most Outrageous Cambridge Stereotype" at Halfway Hall. His hopes were not in vain. This year he hopes to finally woo Rachel Irwin. He wouldn't say anything about Rachel here because she's very shy: but he can say that professionally, he's very glad to be working with her representing the undergraduate body in the during the formative stages of Corpus' large scale construction project. His role models include Richard Whiteley of "Countdown" and Kerry King of "Slayer".
